Saves time visiting various sites to download drivers

Lets you download drivers with no hidden catches. I m not sure the drivers it recommends are legit. Here s why. I recently scrapped Windows 10 in favor of tried and true Win7. Went to the manufacturer s website to get all the latest drivers for my computer s various hardware. Then installed Slim Drivers to get a few more pesky non-essential missing drivers.It scanned my computer and told me almost all my drivers were several years old and that newer ones were available. Ok, so I went ahead and installed these recommended newer drivers. Then my computer starting refusing to wake from sleep. Lots of frozen screens. Had to do a lot of hard shut offs on the computer. NOT WORTH IT. I did a system restore to right before Slim Drivers was installed and everything is fine now. I can say for sure that this program tries to make itself appear necessary by finding all kinds of issues with your computer s drivers that are actually non-issues. Don t fall for it. Only use this program as a last resort for a driver you can t find elsewhere. Reply to this review

Nothing special over its peers. While running set up, it runs a hidden program called Slim Cleaner which is a 44mb utility without asking your permission. Not recommended. Reply to this review Read reply 1
